Read any good books lately?

Anyone who knows me knows that I really like to read.  I don't have time to do it as often as I used to, but it's still one of my favorite things to do.  A few years ago I discovered the world of indie (independent) authors and it opened up a whole new world of books for me.  These indie authors don't work with the big name publishing houses, and you'll be hard-pressed to find them on the New York Times bestsellers lists, but they are making their mark on the book world.  They have stories to tell and they deserve to be heard, or read as the case may be.  So if you enjoy reading a good book, and you're not a snob who needs a big name, then keep reading and learn about a new indie author that you might enjoy, and keep an eye out for future posts about other indie authors I'm discovering. Anna B. Doe is a "new to me" author.  I met her through our mutual friend and author, Micalea Smeltzer.  If you followed my former blog, you know how much I adore Mic

Product Review: Tazo Dessert Delights Tea

Who doesn't love a good cup of tea?  I know I certainly do.  And while I drink iced tea all year, a nice cup of hot tea in the winter time really hits the spot.   And I have discovered a new favorite!  Tazo Dessert Delights Glazed Lemon Loaf!      The flavor of this tea is fantastic!  I would suggest that if you're New Year's Resolution was some type of diet plan, I think this tea would satisfy any sweet craving and help you avoid dessert.  And if you're afraid of the lemon being overpowering, I assure you, it is not.  It honestly does taste like a soft, delicious lemon cake.  I don't know how they got so much flavor in that little tea bag, but it must be magic.   I drink mine with 2 Stevia packets and a little Dunkin Donuts Extra Extra coffee creamer.  Perfection in a cup!!  And even my husband loved it - so much so that the day after he tried it for the first time, he went back to the store and bought another box because he was afraid we might r

Welcome! Let's Roc this.

Here we are, at the start of a new year.  What do you think 2018 has in store for you?  Better yet, how do you plan to Roc it? Ok, I'm sure some of you are wondering why I'm spelling it Roc, am I right?  Well that's because  my nickname is Rocky/Rocki, or Roc for short.  And since this is my blog and it's really going to be about me, I thought it had to have Roc in the title.  Makes sense to me. So what can you expect to read here?  Great question.  I guess it's going to be something of a diary.  As this new year starts, my goal (I don't do resolutions) is to really live, to try new things - whether that's food, or experiences, or maybe it means taking a class.  And it could just be something like trying a new product.  Time will tell.  But whatever it is, I want to write about it.  I want to share the adventure with anyone who stumbles across this blog and decides to read it. And sometimes I might just share my thoughts about something that is going o
